About Me |
||
I was born and raised on a farm in Minnesota, hence, my love of wild life. I loved Country Music all my life, The Grand 'Ole Opry was our main form of Saturday Night entertainment and became a recording artist in 1967, recording at Columbia Studio in Nashville where my signature hit "One More Memory" was born. My back up band consisted of Pete Drake, Pig Robbims, Buddy Harmon and Gene Norell, all passed on now. I worked 10 years with my band, "Dottie Lou & The Tumbleweeds", a three state area in the Midwest and 25 years to follow with my son Roger, recording again at the Gene Breeden Studio in Nashville in the late 80's as a Mother Son Duo. I reside in an 80 acre wilderness with my Hubby, Chuck, near Poplar, WI where I have retired to feeding the wild kritters, gardening 27 huge flower beds, and fullfilling my life long dream and desire to WRITE! |
